What are supplements?
According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) food supplements are concentrated sources of nutrients or other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect whose purpose is to supplement a normal diet.
Food supplements are marketed in 'dose' form, for example as pills, tablets, capsules or liquids in measured doses.
Supplements may be used to correct nutritional deficiencies or maintain an adequate intake of certain nutrients.
Your VITALITY depends on a careful balance of at least 50 nutrients. They include:-
- Good sources of energy, measured in calories, which comes in the form of protein, carbohydrates or fat.
- Amino Acids (which we get when proteins are digested)
- Essential Fatty Acids
- I would also include good source of water (hydration), fibre (for better colon support), and self-care (something which many people are lacking).
Deficiencies in fats, protein and carbohydrates are quite rare, however deficiencies in vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids (E.F.A.s) can be quite common. It's been estimated that 9 out of 10 people are don't receive sufficient vitamins, minerals and E.F.A.s in their diet.
One third of all chemical reactions in the body are dependent on tiny quantities of vitamins and minerals in the body. If just one of these nutrients is missing VITALITY, ENERGY, and HEALTHY WEIGHT is just NOT POSSIBLE.
Where do you buy supplements?
There are so many suppliers on the market place - blood tests, health food shops, your practitioner, supermarkets, online... it can become confusing.

Cytoplan's Guiding Principles
Cytoplan Ltd. is British owned and independent. They are wholly owned by a charitable foundation. Therefore they are not constrained by the typical commercial pressures for profit, or conflicting issues of parental ownership that afflict many companies in the marketplace.
They provide a genuinely unique range of supplements comprising Food State™ and Wholefood vitamins and minerals.
When it comes to nutrition their philosophy is that: a) There is a 'Nutrition Gap' in the population, supported by research, which means that most people are not getting the nutrients they need for health from their diet. b) Nutrition supplements can bridge this gap when they contain the appropriate (and safe) levels of nutrients as long as the nutrients are in a bio-effective form.
Dietary supplementation is one of the most hotly debated topics in nutrition, and that isn’t likely to end anytime soon. Depending on the study you are examining or the person you ask, supplements are either absolutely critical for optimum health or are not likely to make a tangible impact on your health. What is not disputable is the fact that the average Western diet promotes nutrient deficiencies, which have a definitive impact on countless markers of health. Whether you are an elite athlete or Joe Average just looking for convenient and cost-effective ways to improve your daily well-being, there are few easier ways to accomplish this than by integrating doTERRA Lifelong Vitality Pack® (LLV) into your daily routine—and doTERRA scientists have gathered the clinical data that explains why.
